Teen Therapy  ·  Ages 11–18  ·  Live Oak, FL & Telehealth

Your teen does not need
to have it figured out to come here.

Adolescence is harder than it looks from the outside. Our clinician Alyssa Hahn is a former middle school teacher who specializes in teens ages 11–18 — and she understands their world from both sides of the desk. No lectures. No performance required.

Teen Therapy Live Oak FL
Why Alyssa

She understands teens
from both sides of the classroom.

Before becoming a therapist, Alyssa Hahn spent years as a middle school teacher. She knows what it looks like when a student is shutting down, acting out, or quietly struggling while trying to appear fine. She has watched teens navigate academic pressure, social cruelty, family stress, and the particular vulnerability of not yet knowing who they are — and she has sat with them through it in a way that does not require them to perform health for an adult audience.

That background shapes everything about how she works. Alyssa does not talk at teenagers. She meets them where they are — in the language they actually use, about the things that actually matter to them — without judgment, without agendas, and without the condescension that makes teens shut down in therapy.

"Teens do not need another adult telling them what to do. They need someone who actually gets it — and who can help them figure out what they want to do."

What Teens Come Here For

Whatever your teen
is carrying right now.

Anxiety

Academic pressure, social anxiety, panic attacks, perfectionism, and the relentless mental chatter that will not quiet down. Anxiety in teens is often dismissed as drama — it is real and treatable.

Depression

The version that looks like withdrawal, irritability, or academic disengagement rather than visible sadness. If your teen seems like a different person from who they used to be, that shift matters.

Identity & Self-Worth

Figuring out who you are, where you belong, and whether you are enough — in an era of constant comparison and social media judgment. These questions deserve a real space to explore them.

School & Performance Stress

The pressure to perform academically, athletically, or socially at levels that leave no room for imperfection or rest. Learning to succeed without losing yourself in the process.

Family Stress

Parents who are struggling. A difficult home environment. Navigating family dynamics that feel out of their control. Teens need support that is theirs, separate from their family system.

Trauma

Difficult experiences that are affecting how a teen moves through the world — EMDR-trained support for adolescents who are carrying something heavy.

For Parents

What to know before
your teen's first session.

Confidentiality

For minors, there are limits to confidentiality — specifically around safety. Within those limits, what your teen shares stays in the room. This confidentiality is part of what makes therapy safe enough for teens to actually talk.

Parent Involvement

Parents are important to the process. We will communicate with you about themes and progress within appropriate limits — without violating your teen's trust in a way that ends the therapy's effectiveness.

Alyssa's Availability

Alyssa is currently completing her graduate internship and will be accepting clients beginning June 2026 under clinical supervision. Scheduling is open now for that start date.

Insurance & Fees

Most major insurance plans accepted. Telehealth available throughout Florida and Georgia. In-person in Live Oak, FL.

"The teenage years are hard. Having someone genuinely in your corner can change the trajectory."
